2010 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley, $22/bottle
The 2010 harvest was a classic one in the Willamette Valley-- cooler days led to a late harvest. The Northwest weather gave us a wonderfully quintessential Oregon Pinot Noir. Our 2010 smells of rhubarb pie. On the palate, we taste cranberries and mineral with ripe cherries on the finish. This was was aged for 18 months in French oak. 400 cases produced.
2009 Pinot Noir Croft-Williamson Vineyard, $32/bottle
"Bay laurel and basil tinge ripe but fresh cherry and plum in the polished, luscious J. Daan 2009 Pinot Noir Croft-Williamson, medicinal suggestions of herbal and mineral concentrate as well as meaty pan drippings lending mouthwatering savor and invigoration to a sustained, infectiously juicy finish. This outstanding value from a site west of Salem and in the sheltered foothills of the Coastal Range should be worth following for at least a half dozen years." 91 Points, David Schildknecht, Wine Advocate
2009 Rouge Columbia Valley, $20/bottle
Our Rouge is a traditional Rhone blend of Grenache, Mourvedre and Syrah. It hails from Alder Ridge Vineyard and McKinnley Springs Vineyard in Washington's Horse Heaven Hills AVA. This wine is luscious enough to drink without food yet its leather and spice complement barbecued meats with ease. It is deep ruby in color with plus, peppers, and black cherries on the palate. It has an amazingly silky mouthfeel.
2009 C.C.M. Columbia Valley, $18/bottle
Our new C.C.M. is a harmonious blend of commanding varietals-- Cabernet Franc 57%, Cabernet Sauvignon 33%, and Merlot 10%. C.C.M. has aromatics of huckleberry and cassis. On the palate, it offers round tannins, blueberries, and cloves with leather. This wine is dense yet elegant. If Pinot Noir is a sailboat, C.C.M. is a cruise ship. Aged 20 months in French oak. 200 cases produced.
